Abstract

In modern conditions of development of innovative potential is becoming increasingly important in the context of competitiveness of products and enterprises. Despite the diversity of views and interpretations of the essence of the concept of innovation potential, the author considers it appropriate to bring improved definition as a combination of resources and capabilities needed to address the fundamental issues of development, implementation and dissemination of effective, qualitative and targeted innovation, given the current economic transformation processes and aspects development of society. Analyzing research scientists and taking into account their views, the author highlighted four main areas of formation level and innovative potential. This structure allows to consider the effect of all factors on main levels and spheres of its formation, which enables the creation of an effective strategy grounded innovation.
