Abstract
The proposed material presents a translation of the short story “Space Mountain” by the contemporary Irish author Rory Gleeson. The works of the young writer have already been noted by academics and theater critics, arouse interest among a wide readership in the UK, but have not yet been translated into Russian. The translation of the story was made by the winner of the international competition “ Art & Craft of Translation”, which was held in 2020. The text is accompanied by a short commentary.
