Abstract

This study defined the relationship between the arm strength and club speed of college female golf players and determined a standard value of arm strength for club speed. To this end, by applying the significance sampling method among non-probability sampling methods, 56 players were selected as subjects who, as of 2022, participated in official golf matches as college students. In addition, arm strength, muscular endurance and flexibility, and club head speed (carry swing speed, ball speed) were measured and analyzed, and the following results were identified.BR First, in the relationship between arm strength and club speed of college female golf players, arm strength had a positive effect on club speed. Second, in the relationship between arm muscular endurance and club speed of college female golf players, arm muscular endurance had a positive effect on the carry factor of club speed. Third, it was found that there was no significant effect on the relationship between arm flexibility and club speed of college female golf players. Fourth, in setting the arm strength standard for club speed of college female golf players, in terms of muscle strength and muscular endurance, the validity of the baseline setting was established, the baseline for strength was set at .802, and the baseline for muscular endurance was set at .344.
