Abstract
The paper is based on the analysis of the original source of the 19th century, “Story about travelling through Russia, Moldova, Turkey and the Holy Land of the Athos monk Parthenii” (1855). Parthenii as a representative of the Orthodoxy, who strongly believed in his religion, and resting upon his travel impressions, described his trip in his book.
