Abstract

Climate change is sending new alarms to humanity. Greenhouse gas emissions are increasing causing the atmosphere to warm. Melting glaciers and temperature changes are becoming irreversible. The level of the world ocean is gradually rising, the process of desertification of arid regions is becoming more noticeable. According to professional observations, every degree increase in temperature in Armenia leads to an upward vertical deviation of about 200 meters. Such changes must either be prevented or adapted to new conditions. It is clear that nature is not so easy to manage, so adaptation is more accessible than prevention. The paper analyzes the latest phenomena of climate change and, in addition to the negative consequences, also discusses the positive effects of global warming on the agriculture of Syunik region of the Republic of Armenia.
