Abstract

The fuel swelling during normal operation is considered within the framework of 1st kind phase transition theory. It is shown that the phase transition occurs in the supersaturated sold solution of vacancy-impurity complexes – Xe with vacancies in uranium dioxide. The analysis of fuel swelling and fission gas release from fuel doped with different additives during normal operation was carried out.
