Abstract

This study shows the improvement in sufficient crosstalk and electromagnetic interference (EMI) performance by designing the terminal structure of a wave-shaped connector. In addition, impedance was improved without reducing the size of the terminal width of the connector. The operating range of the designed connector extended up to 6 GHz, providing 15-20 dB improvement in far-end crosstalk (FEXT) performance and 10-35 dB improvement in near-end crosstalk (NEXT) compared with traditional straight terminal methods.
The EMI performance also improved by approximately 20 μV/m when applying the wave-shaped terminal
