Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of satisfaction of overseas volunteering perceived by World Friends Korea Taekwondo volunteers on sociality. In Korea, sports policy for international development is concentrated mostly on Taekwondo. Therefore, through the verification of the hypotheses set up in this study, we will provide the basic data for the development of overseas Taekwondo volunteering. In order to achieve the purpose determined according to the necessity of the research, the results from the 314 persons who had experience of being dispatched as part of KOICA or the World Taekwondo Peace Corps were used as the final research data. To analyze the effect of satisfaction on sociality, a questionnaire was used as a valid and reliable survey tool. The statistical package program SPSS 22.0 ver was used for the analysis and through correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis, the effects of variables were analyzed. As a result of the research, it was found that positive factors within volunteer satisfaction had a positive influence (+) on social factors and most negative factors had a negative influence (-). Therefore, satisfaction on overseas Taekwondo volunteering has a statistically significant effect on majority of social factors.
