Abstract

The incidence of melanoma of the skin is steadily increasing, and, undoubtedly, the need for its early detection is increasing. A universal tool for early diagnosis is dermatoscopy, a method of in vivo examination of skin neoplasms, which has proven its effectiveness in the course of numerous clinical studies. Knowledge of algorithms and dermatoscopic patterns of skin melanoma, depending on the anatomical localization of the tumor, can increase the effectiveness of early diagnosis and, as a result, affect the prognosis of the disease, especially melanomas of rare localizations
