Abstract
The article presents an economic and statistical analysis of the monetary income of the population of the region (on the example of the Tambov region), based on official state statistics data, which was the main purpose of this study. To achieve this goal, the following scientific tasks were solved: to consider the level and structure of the monetary income of the population of the region in dynamics, in comparison with the average Russian indicators and indicators of other regions; to characterize the purchasing power of the incomes of Tambov residents; to analyze income inequality and poverty of the population of the Tambov region; to identify the main trends that characterize the monetary income of the population as the most important indicator of the standard of living. As a result of the study, it was found that monetary income is an important part of the level and quality of life of a modern person and acts as one of its main indicators.
