Abstract

The aim of the research is to identify the professional motivation of physics teachers in the secondary stage, The research community was determined by the physics teachers of the secondary stage in the Holy Karbala Education Directorate and for the academic year (2021-2022) AD.The descriptive research method was adopted for the current research procedures, and the size of the research sample(160) of the physics teachers for the secondary stage, consisting of (80) male and (80) female teachers, and they were chosen by the simple random method, In order to achieve the goal of the research, the researcher prepared a scale for professional motivation, which in its final form consisted of (45) items distributed over (10) Areas of professional motivation, the value of the scales stability coefficient was also calculated using Cronbach's alpha coefficient, whose value was (0.87) and the results showed that secondary school physics teachers possess a professional motivation with an arithmetic mean higher than the hypothetical average, and in light of the results, the researcher came up with several recommendations and suggestions.
