Abstract
The purpose of the research is to determine features of precedence implementation in literary discourse of the Silver Age (in particular in the genre of short stories) from the standpoint of clarifying its intentionality. The article identifies and describes synthesis of the main types of intentions in literary discourse - representational (in some cases cognitive) and communicative - in relation to the functioning of precedent phenomena in the discourse. Scientific novelty of the research lies in using the intentional method in the study of precedent phenomena and consideration of intentionality as a discourse-forming category. As a result of the research, it has been found that precedent phenomena production is conditioned by authors’ drawing upon the source spheres of Folklore and Mythology, History, Literature and Art, while pragmatics of precedent phenomena intentionality is directed at aesthetic understanding of man as a center of the universe in the timeless context.
