Abstract
The paper represents a brief analysis of elastic and damping supports of high–speed rotors. The operating principles of the supports are connected with discrete control systems and based on structural adaptation. A mathematical model for calculating the dynamic characteristics of rotors is presented. A brief overview of the prospects for the use of bearing assemblies with controlled parameters is made.
