Abstract

The postpartum care center is a resting space where mothers wheel to take care of their bodies for a certain period of time after giving birth. Despite such an important resting place for mothers, the government prepared the manpower and facility installation standards for postpartum care centers in 2006. Although the government has legal standards, sufficient safety measures have not yet been prepared for disasters that may occur due to accidents such as fire. In this study, a safety manual was developed with the goal of preventing disasters through case studies of postpartum care centers, and strengthening personnel and facility standards for disaster response such as protection of mothers and infants, and safe evacuation.
