Abstract

The article deals with the problem of mastering the skills of semantic reading by primary school students at the lessons of literary reading. The concept of "semantic reading" is characterized, the components of this didactic phenomenon are determined. The effectiveness of the teaching strategy proposed by the authors is proved, the process of formation of semantic reading skills in younger schoolchildren is described. This ensures the further development of their actual ability to work with information presented in the form of printed, audio and electronic texts.
