Abstract

This study investigated the effect of organizational culture of early childhood education institutions on early childhood teachers' intentions to report child abuse and reported behavior. To this end, an online questionnaire was conducted on 320 early childhood teachers on the organizational culture, intentions to report child abuse, and reported behavior of early childhood education institutions. Descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way variance analysis, chi-square test, correlation analysis, and multiple-term analysis were conducted for data analysis. As a result, there was an average difference between variables according to the demographic characteristics of the study subjects, such as age, experience, and child abuse education time, and it was found that with regard to organizational culture, group culture had a significant effect on the intention to report child abuse, and rational culture had a significant effect on child abuse reporting behavior. Based on these results, a plan was proposed to increase the child abuse report rate of early childhood teachers in suspected cases of child abuse.
