Abstract
An optimization model of transportation of municipal solid waste (MSW) of the urban agglomeration carried out by the WMS processing and disposal complex is proposed. Optimization is carried out by minimizing the costs of transportation of MSW. The solution of the problem of minimizing costs is carried out in two stages. At the first stage, optimal routes are built along which garbage trucks can transport MSW with minimal costs of a given type (fuel costs, financial costs, etc.). At the second stage, the optimal options for the distribution of garbage truck flights between the optimal routes built at the first stage are determined. Software has been developed for using the model in solving practical problems. In addition, a database has been developed to work with the initial data and the results of solving optimization problems. The results of experimental calculations and their analysis are presented. The model is focused on the urban agglomeration of St. Petersburg.
