Abstract

The article identifies transformation processes in the Kabardino-Circassian literature, which is a poorly studied and promising phenomenon under the conditions of a transitional period. The processes of the post-Soviet period that took place in Russian society contributed to the manifestation of the crisis in all areas of the humanities in general and in literary criticism in particular. This period can also be characterized as the emergence of a certain methodological freedom, which makes it possible to look for new cognitive means for such a literary problem as “man and time”. An attempt is made in the work to study the artistic realization of the aforementioned problem in the conditions of the post-Soviet era.
