Abstract

The article examines new trends in foreign trade relations of the Russian Federation that have emerged since the beginning of 2020. Based on recently published official materials of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the national customs statistics data shows, this year formed a quite unfavorable for the evolution of Russian foreign trade developments against the background of a global economic slowdown and the corresponding complications in international commodity trade. The persistence of «turbulence» in the world commodity exchange, which inevitably and naturally affected the results of foreign trade activity of a number of leading exporters, and other cataclysms associated with viral infection, led to a sense of complete uncertainty in the world community as a whole at the global level. The author presents new statistical materials and calculated data that are being introduced into the national scientific circulation for the first time.

Summary
