Abstract
This study is a comprehensive analysis of the impact ofdigital transformation on the Arctic, this unique and rap-idly changing region. The aim of the work is not only to examine the current state and predict the future, but also to iden-tify possible obstacles and challenges that may arise in realizing the fullpotential of digital transformation in this extreme-ly important and vulnerable region. The work begins with a detailed analysis of the historical development of the Arctic, with a particular focus on the social, political, and economic factors that have shaped the region’s current context. An ex-amination of these factors is key to understanding the dynamics and complexities that shape the current conditions and future of the Arctic. Next, the role of digital transformation in the economic development of the Arctic region is exam-ined. Numerous examples of digital technologies have been analyzed, including successful cases of digital infrastructure and other technologies. This analysis emphasizes the potential of digital transformation to improve economic andsocial development in the Arctic region. However, along with the opportunities, the work draws attention to the serious obsta-cles and challenges facing digital transformation in the Arctic. These include technical challenges and infrastructure limita-tions, political and economic obstacles, and environmental and social challenges. The study offers an analysis of existing policies and plans in order to overcome these obstacles and create a sustainable future for the Arctic, and presents rec-ommendations for improving policies and strategies. The work also includes examples of best practices and an analysis of possible development scenarios based on an assessment of promising technologies and their impact on the Arctic. An im-portant part of the work is analysesof the role of global and regional factors in the digital transformation of the Arctic. Understanding these factors is critical to developing strategies and solutions that can adapt to changing conditions and ensure a sustainable and prosperous future forthe Arctic region. The study concludes that digital transformation in the Arctic is a complex and multifactorial process that requires deep understanding and cooperation among different stake-holders. Only in this way the full potential of digital technologies can be realized to create a sustainable and prosperous future for the Arctic.
