Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of the legal basis of the activities of self-regulatory organizations in the field of agrarian insurance in Ukraine. It is determined that stimulating the creation and functioning of self-regulatory organizations in agriculture aims at an optimal combination of market mechanisms and effective regulatory function of the state in the framework of business deregulation and corresponds to the Concept of the State Target Program for Agrarian Sector Development until 2022. The article presents the results of the analysis of the legal regulation of the Agrarian Insurance Pool – the only association of insurers that insure agricultural products with state support. The legal features of the Agrarian Insurance Pool are singled out, the basic principles, functions and features of its legal status are characterized. Based on the analysis of the legislation and practice of the Agrarian Insurance Pool, attention is focused on the problematic issues of legal regulation of the Agrarian Insurance Pool and suggested ways to improve the legislation of Ukraine in the study area.
