Abstract

The studied varieties of variable alfalfa (Medicago varia Mart.) reacted positively to inoculation with nodule bacteria strains for a number of economically useful signs. The best plant-microbial systems for the third year of vegetation allowed to obtain in total for two mowing yields of green mass over 7 kg / m2, or over 70 t / ha. The yield of green mass and seeds on variants with the use of nodule bacteria exceeded the yield on control variants for all varieties. In the conditions of Western Siberia, strain 425a and SHM1-105 are suitable for cultivation of alfalfa for green mass, and strain SHM1-105 is promising for cultivation for seeds.
