Abstract

The article is devoted to the relationship between the Supreme ruler of Russia, Admiral A. V. Kolchak, and the officer corps, as well as to the reasons for the defeat of the whites in the Civil war from the point of view of white emigrants and representatives of foreign legions. The work is based on the analysis of memoirs, recollections and diaries of direct participants in the events of 1918–1920 in Siberia and the Far East.
