Abstract
The article considers the peculiarities of the introduction of the national currency in Russia. The key aspects of the transition to a digital financial instrument are analyzed. The article also examines the readiness of citizens to the new form of currency, noting that one third of the population expresses readiness, but there is resistance and lack of awareness.
