Abstract

The purpose of the study is to determine the characteristics of the analysis of demand for the movement of urban goods. Such attention is established regarding the scale of the problem of urban freight transport, its impact on the quality of life of the population and the trends in the balance between urban and intercity movement of goods. The similarities and differences in the analytical approaches of passenger and freight transportation to forecasting demand for freight transportation are indicated. Basic definitions regarding the demand for urban freight transport are proposed
