Abstract

The article discusses the importance of digital transformation of retail in the context of the global crisis and rising inflation. A brief overview of the situation with the development of e-commerce in Iran is given. The author’s understanding of retail transformation is proposed. The reasons for the modification of retail enterprises in Iran in the context of digitalization of trade are given. Statistics on the number of e-commerce transactions for 2018–2022 and owners of e-commerce in Iran by geographical distribution are provided. Information is given on the level of responsibility of such owners in the retail trade of the country. Practical recommendations have been developed to improve digital retail services in the face of rising inflation.
