Abstract

The article explores the socio-gerontological concept of the culture of aging within the framework of temporality as Lifetime, opportunities and obstacles to longevity in modern culture. The third age as a factor in the life of the elderly cohort in the traditions of classical and modern social science is analyzed. It is concluded that modern global population aging is the most important demographic factor and cultural trend, encouraging the scientific community to search for sociocultural positions and social agency in solving the problems of modern society.
