Abstract
The article highlights the territorial distribution of art-industrial educational institutions of Ukraine. The extensive network of higher educational institutions of artistic and industrial profile, which successfully operates and part of which carries out professional activity to this day, is presented. The experience of professional activity of artistic-industrial establishments of Kamyanets-Podilsky and Poltava branch is given; higher artistic and industrial schools of Kyiv and Kharkiv; artistic and industrial establishments in Galicia; Kosivka cell; artistic-industrial educational institutions in Bukovina and Zacarpathia. It is noted that the training of specialists in artistic-industrial institutions is one of the main tasks and priority directions of professional education, since it paves the way for the knowledge of cultural the heritage of the Ukrainian people, spiritual development and interpersonal communication, creative self-realization of personality, comprehension of own ethnic identity as a deep foundation of national consciousness.
