Abstract
The article is dedicated to defining the human body concept and its meaning for the public law sphere. The purpose of the study is construction of knowledge on the human body in the system of public relations. The paper reviews various approaches to the understanding of what a human body is, analyzes the body autonomy, interference of the state with the human body autonomy. The article suggests a definition of the human body concept and its attributes, defines the body autonomy concept, finds that implementation of the body autonomy is quite limited as the state puts public interests above private ones, makes an attempt at defining the essence of the human body through a public law study.
