Abstract

The integration of Ukraine into the European educational space requires the introduction into the educational process of a higher school of media education, which has become extremely popular and is developing in many countries of the world. At the same time, Ukraine's modern transition to an information society, in which almost any person has access to the Internet, and today's challenges determine the necessity of using multimedia technologies in the educational process of higher education. The article reveals the problem of modernization of the higher education system and increasing the efficiency of professional training of future specialists under the condition of using innovative technologies. The main goal of the article was to determine the possibilities and prospects of organizing the educational process of a higher school using multimedia technologies. The essence of multimedia technologies and their interpretation by both domestic and foreign scientists is revealed. The peculiarities of the introduction of multimedia technologies into the educational process of a higher school are characterized. Modern multimedia technologies provide great opportunities for education seekers to acquire knowledge, professional training and career growth, changing the quality of a person's everyday life. The conducted research testifies the wide possibilities of multimedia technologies in the training of modern future specialists. It was determined that multimedia allows to activate the activity of education seekers, to include them in an active activity of assimilating new educational material. Lecturers with the use of various multimedia tools contribute to the formation of professional competence of students, motivate students to further independent study of the material. The potential of multimedia technologies for the realization of didactic possibilities of the educational process of the higher school was determined. The article examines the synergistic factors of the impact of multimedia technologies on students in the process of their independent work with educational material and presents the advantages of presenting educational material in the format of a multimedia presentation.
