Abstract
The development of international and national franchise networks of hostels has been analyzed. The main advantages of buying a franchise for a hostel have been considered. The functioning peculiarities and problems of the main national franchising networks of hostels have been investigated. It has been revealed that in Russia the conditions of some legal gaps in the relations between franchisor and franchisee a lot of dishonest franchisors appear in the hotel services market. In order to avoid unpleasant situations, the franchisee should resort to all possible ways to protect against risks, namely, to approach the search for a quality franchise and a bona de franchisor responsibly.
