Abstract

Objectives The purpose of this study is to find out the effect of reality therapy group art therapy using reality ther-apy on improving career attitude maturity and self-identity of general high school students.
 Methods To this end, a group art therapy program using real-life therapy WDEP was conducted once a week for a total of 90 minutes from April to July 2022 for six first and second graders at S-gu High School in Seoul who vol-untarily participated in this program. The results of analyzing changes in group art therapy at each stage of WDEP through qualitative changes based on institutional reports and interview data, session evaluation and observation logs, career attitude maturity and Korean self-identity scales are as follows.
 Results First, career attitude maturity was improved through the process of realizing what the participants really want and connecting them to actions. Second, participants took the lead in setting goals for the future in relation to their careers, improving their sense of self-identity.
 Conclusions Through this study, it was possible to improve career attitude maturity through career-oriented sub-jective activities for each session, and it was confirmed that self-identity is an important factor in career attitude maturity through the process of redefining self-identity. This study is meaningful in that it provided basic clinical data for reality therapy and group art therapy to improve adolescents' career attitude maturity and self-identity.
