Abstract

The objective of this study was to analyze teacher s burnout and daily emotional experience using Experience Sampling Method(ESM). For this purpose, surveys were conducted by 78 middle and high school teachers in A and B city using Experience Sampling Form and Burnout Questionnaire. The methods used for data analyses were descriptive statistics, independent samples t-test, One-way Anova and Pearson’s Correlation Analysis. The results of this study were as follows: First, burnout and positive emotion experience had a statistically significant negative correlation. Second, burnout and negative emotion experience had a statistically significant positive correlation. Finally, the analysis of teachers’ burnout shows that there was no significant difference depending on the teacher gender, age, career and school level. This study is significant in terms of providing basic information to decrease teachers’ burnout through searching the experience of daily emotion of school teachers.
