Abstract

The article reveals the basic aspects of Ishim schoolchildren’s everyday life in the years of the Great Patriotic War: educational and labour activity, social work, preconscription training, etc. Scientific originality of the study lies in the fact that the authors introduce archival data and eyewitnesses’ memories into scientific circulation. The research findings are as follows: the authors prove that studying daily routine of certain population strata, in particular, schoolchildren, in the war period broadens knowledge of Ishim town and Ishim region history, allows deeper understanding of everyday life of the West Siberian provincial towns in the years of the Great Patriotic War.
