Abstract

Human life passes through various stages, one of which is when a person lies on the deathbed. It is a very painful and difficult stage and makes one suffer from despair, helplessness, and heartlessness. Therefore, the feelings of a person change in this state and one starts to talk differently. Experts in many fields of science have tried to explain and understand the words of a person on the deathbed. For example, legal experts call it the dying declaration and describe its legal effects. This study aims to study the poetry of some Arab poets who were able to produce poetry on their deathbeds and express feelings, which were full of questions and life. Arab poets have discussed the agony of death from multiple angles, which have not been noticed by any previous study.
