Abstract

The article considers data on the epidemiology of cognitive impairment in patients with severe CHF in the Russian Federation and abroad. Information is provided on methods for screening dementia in such patients using Montreal cognitive test and some of its variations, as well as the MMSE test. The review article also describes the fundamental pathogenetic links in the development of cognitive impairment in CHF. Information on the topic was used from publications based on the PubMed and Google Scholar databases, and the depth of coverage was 5 years.
