Abstract

The article presents the results of a formative experiment on the formation of the research competence of future teachers in the study of language disciplines. It is noted that in the first academic year, when studying language disciplines, students of the experimental group were involved in the process of text analysis, generalization, comparison, and text formation, which is important for entering the process of research activity. In the second academic year, students learned how to do independent work, write essays, and complete term papers using scientific research methods. During the third academic year, the formation of research competence was carried out according to the components of research activities. Work was carried out on the formation of each component in accordance with the content of the components. The actions of teachers and future teachers on the formation of components of research competence are characterized.
