Abstract
The authors consider the issues of assessing the level of socio-economic security of the region on the example of the Kirov region. The importance of individual indicators of socio-economic security of the region is considered. The analysis is carried out on the basis of indicators of the level and quality of life, as well as demographic indicators. Based on the analysis, the conclusion is made about the priority of demographic indicators for assessing the level of socio-economic security of the region. Demographic indicators are considered as a result of socio-economic policy and at the same time as the basis for ensuring the socio-economic security of the region in the future. The study assesses the level of socio-economic security of the Kirov region in the period from 2010 to 2021.
