Abstract

Objectives: The present study intend to confirm notable factors that influence the chewing and speaking discomport of the adult in Korea. Methods: Raw data was acquired from the 8th national health and nutrition survey. The data was processed and analysed by using SPSS 21.0 ver. Results: As a result of investigating various factors and discomport in chewing and speaking, the discomport in chewing and speaking was found to be higher with age, married people, and lower income and education levels (p<0.05). Conclusions: The age, level of education, smoking are associated with chewing and speaking discomport.
