Abstract
The article reveals new structural elements and determines the role of contemporary art in the formation of urban environment. The city is an artificial and technically rich space having a powerful informational impact on humans. Urban spatial environment has a polyfunctional structure. The blend of various types of contemporary art is one of the most important and promising areas of studies that can lead to improving the quality of the spatial structure of the city, developing engineering infrastructure, increasing the quality and quantity of housing, expanding recreational spaces and the range of service functions.
