Abstract
The article is devoted to the analysis of the prioritization process and documentary analysis of approaches to risk management based on domestic, international and industry standards for working with risks. The basic principles of the effectiveness of the risk management process at the present stage of development of society are structured and described. The procedure for ranking risks is considered based on risk appetite and the general principles of this activity within the corporate environment. During the study, uncertainty factors that can neutralize the efforts of a risk manager to reduce the risk impact on the company’s activities were studied and practically described. The author consider the concept of reasonable confidence as the main paradigm of enterprise management today. The study outlines five risk response strategies and describes how none of the strategies allows a company to achieve its goals.
