Abstract

The paper constructs a game-theoretic model characterizing the interaction between a treating physician and his patient, called the simplest model “doctor–patient”. The constructed game-theoretic model is a neoclassical antagonistic game, namely a zero-sum pair game given by a partially known payoff matrix of dimension 2  2. The optimal solution of the created game-theoretic model is analyzed. Based on the analysis of the optimal solution of the constructed neoclassical antagonistic game, i.e., the simplest model “doctor – patient”, the ne-cessity to implement specific measures that will allow to achieve the true objectives of the functioning of the health care system of the Russian Federation, which is the most important and the most resource-intensive socially important branch of the country’s economy, characterized at the moment by the presence of problems and insufficient level of quality of functioning is substantiated.
