Abstract

The article analyses cause-and-effect relationship in the structure of the discourse matrix. The material of the study is the English statements about a causal situation presented in different types of discourse. Scientific novelty of the work is in the fact that the English-language discourse is studied for the first time by the example of a causal situation analysis. It is concluded that the internal way of discourse generation is a complex dynamic composition. Each semantic coordinate of any discourse can be included separately in other types of discourse and be combined with other semantic coordinates.
