Abstract

The results of finite element modeling of the airflow contains dust particles of various sizes in the helicopter gas turbine engine air inlet duck with mounted and dismounted dust protective device are given. The main laws of the behavior of multiphase flow in the gas turbine engine inlet duct in response to the particle size are determined. It clarifies that the use of dust-protective devices does not eliminate dust particles in full manner. An estimation of the possibility of replacing the simulation of a two-phase flow with one-phase in the GTE compressor has been made
