Abstract

Major infrastructure projects (corridors) are considered from the perspective of the axis of development model. Given internal and external conditions for the formation of the successful economic corridors. On the example of cross-border corridors of South and South-East Asia, the impact of China on the creation of such corridors is estimated. Although they are declared economic, they are essentially transport and flow-oriented for raw materials and semi-finished products. Existing and planned corridors in the South-East Asia region are also being considered. The impact of these corridors on their economies is assessed in five countries.
