Abstract

This study is to estimate the fluctuation of economic value through the change of historic landscape of Geongju Historic Areas using the Contingent Valuation Method. Two investigations, at 2011 and 2019, were implemented on the site. In comparison with 2011, the landscape of site was improved by restoration. The Hicksian compensating variations were estimated using Hanemann''s methods as a Non-market value. Some variables were found significant in the derived models such as the concern for heritage, knowledge for the historic areas, satisfaction, re-visiting opinion, age, marriage, job, income, educational level in the both models. The derived amount of willingness to pay price for the historic landscape was 3,868 Korean Won, per visiting, as a non-market value at 2011. In addition, the WTP was 4,083 Korean Won at 2019. During 8years, the WTP amount was increased through the change of landscape.
