Abstract

The relevance of the study is due to the prevalence of violence and the degree of its public approval. The purpose of the study was to determine the characteristics of the image of a partner in women, depending on the propensity for victim behavior in family relationships, in particular, the entry of women into abusive relationships. A theoretical review of research has shown that there are many forms and types of abusive relationships, one of the most common is violence in the family and in partnerships. It is also shown that parenting styles and parental attitudes are the main forming mechanisms of certain reactions and behavior of the child, which are responsible for the individual characteristics of the functioning of a person in the surrounding and inner world, through the appropriation of parental behavior patterns. The research methods were: A. N. Orel questionnaire (female version); questionnaire T. Leary, as well as a short questionnaire. As a result, it was found that the victim behavior of women in family relationships is largely associated with the choice of partners with dominant characteristics, showing features of aggressiveness and selfishness, which generally corresponds to the traditional gender norm of masculinity. At the same time, women expect more support, care and manifestation of altruism, which is reflected in the image of the ideal partner.
