Abstract

Today, in conditions of uncertainty, it is essential to consider the peculiarities of the formation of national economic activity, in particular, taking into account instability and ensuring equal opportunities for all members of society. Overcoming these challenges requires an integrated approach to develop strategies, policies, and measures to strengthen economic stability, create fair conditions for entrepreneurship and develop human potential. Economic activity covers an interconnected set of actions and processes related to producing, exchanging, and consuming goods and services in the country's economy. It is expressed in the interaction between producers, consumers, investors, state bodies, and other participants of economic life. Economic activity is an essential indicator of the state of the economy, its potential, and its level of development. The concept of economic activity covers various aspects of economic life. It includes the production of goods and services, volumes of sales, exchange of goods and services, investment activity, financial operations, trade, transport activity, corporate activity, entrepreneurial initiative, and much more. The article's purpose is to analyze the peculiarities of the formation of national economic activity in conditions of uncertainty. It was determined that in order to achieve the growth of economic activity in conditions of uncertainty, it is necessary to take comprehensive measures, including the creation of a favorable investment climate, support for entrepreneurship, development of education and qualifications of the workforce, social security, and social inclusion, formation of an effective system of social protection and stimulation of inclusive growth. It was emphasized that the COVID-19 pandemic significantly impacted the formation of economic activity in Ukraine because measures introduced to limit the spread of the virus, including quarantine restrictions, closure of businesses, and restrictions on movement, led to severe challenges for the country's economy. At the same time, despite the challenges, the COVID-19 pandemic has opened up new opportunities for developing specific industries (e-commerce, logistics, medical technology, production of masks, and protective equipment have experienced significant growth). It has been proven that the war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine significantly impacted the formation of national economic activity and continues to form a number of features that differ from normal conditions.
