Abstract

The proposed article is devoted to the history of the Department of Concertmaster Training of the Russian Gnessin Academy — first of all, the period of its formation. The peculiarity of the historical formation and development of the department is determined; the creative activity of E. M. Slavinskaya, who laid the foundation of the pedagogical and methodological principles of this structural unit of the university, is highlighted in detail; the line of development of the department is traced, from Slavinskaya and her students to the modern stage of development of the department. The work also presents portraits of bright performers who taught the art of piano accompaniment at the RAM im. The Gnesins. Despite the significant role in the pedagogical and concertmaster sphere, the names of these musicians are sometimes not known even to professionals. The article will be of interest to anyone who is interested in the process of formation of educational musical disciplines, as well as the development of concertmaster art in Russia.
