Abstract

The article analyses the main national mechanisms of information cooperation in integrated border management and highlights the main factors that negatively effect on their functioning. It is noted that Ukraine already has experience in the application of its own legal and organizational mechanisms of information cooperation in integrated border management and which are in the process of being established. The purpose of the article is to analyze the approaches to the definition and formation in Ukraine of mechanisms of information cooperation in integrated border management, as well as to provide proposals for effective solutions to address pressing issues of their functioning. The scientific novelty lies in the study of specific features of the mechanisms of information cooperation on combating threats to national security at the state border and the detection and prevention of violations of legislation on state customs. The study focuses on the need for further research, expert analysis of the pros and cons of information cooperation, discussion of current information needs and capabilities of the subjects of information cooperation in integrated border management to meet them. Conclusions. Systematized research results allowed to comprehensively study the problems of existing mechanisms of information cooperation in Ukraine in integrated border management and suggest ways to solve them by the author's method, given the urgency of threats to border security, readiness for information change and the ability of relevant actors to implement ideology. such cooperation, ensuring an appropriate coordination mechanism and establishing effective information links.
